Representative Frishe invites you to join him and Hands Across the Sand on Saturday, February 13th to show your objection to near shore drilling in the Gulf of Mexico!

Participants all along Florida's 2,276 miles of tidal shoreline will link hands to show their love and respect for Florida's pristine beaches and their understanding of how important our beaches and waterways are to Florida's economy.

Who:    All concerned Florida residents and visitors

What:   Come to the beach and join Representative Frishe and Hands Across the Sand.

When:   Saturday, February 13, 2010.  Link hands from 1:30 - 1:45 p.m. (To participate, please arrive by 1:00 p.m.)

Where: Your nearest Florida West Coast beach shoreline, or join the crowds in Pinellas county at ...

            South Pinellas - Upham Beach to the Pinellas County Park at 4278 Gulf Blvd.

                        Parking:  Sirata, Tradewinds Island Grand and Sandpiper Suites, County Access.

            Mid-Pinellas - Treasure Island between 104th and 112th Avenues.             

                        Parking: Bilmar spots behind Walgreens, Allied parking lot and City Beach access Parking

            North Pinellas - Clearwater Beach at Pier 60

     Parking : Clearwater Beach Public Parking

 

Posters are available at Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce, 6990 Gulf Blvd.

Please allow your employees to step out to the shore line to show your commitment (from 1:15 - 1:45 p.m.); and please encourage residents and visitors to join us at the shoreline for this show of solidarity.

Finally, please use your business's marquee to get the word out. YOU can make a difference.
