The Southern Groundhog Prediction: Early Spring 2010! Don't mind me, but I'm an eternal optimist. Yes, one of those happy people from the time they wake up. So, I've decided I'm going to go with our own Southern Groundhog - Gen. Beauregard Lee who lives at the Yellow River Game Ranch in Gwinnett County, a metro Atlanta area. (If you are in the NE section of Atlanta, check out his pad, it's adorable old southern style plantation home for the general at the Yellow River Game Ranch.)
General Beauregard Lee's prediction, although reluctant, I mean who wants to get up when it's pouring outside, was that we are up for an early Spring. Now the great news is, this is almost always true here. It's February and that means before the month is out, we'll have blooming dogwood trees and a few leaves starting to spring out of their buds.
March in Atlanta & Sandy Springs, GA blooms all over. In fact, it's just gorgeous, the azaela's are in full bloom, trees are bright green with their shiny new leaves and real estate is blooming as well. Along with these factors, we have the $8,000 first time and $6,500 repeat buyers tax credits that are still in effect for offers negotiated prior to April 30, 2010. So, I am sure the spring is going to be fantastic and early!
