Hold it....this started as a very funny shirt I saw in Taos. Carpe Manana....postpone, sleep, procrastinate. But a deeper reflection of this funny play on words actually can be a great sales tool. Today is the result of what we did yesterday. So by the same token, tomorrow will be created by what we do today. Taken in this light, Carpe Manana takes on a whole new meaning.

So how do we "seize tomorrow"? We do the things which fill our pipelines with prospects. We blog (of course) and we scout out new business. For some this could be advertising in local papers, door-knocking, SEO work on their website, or answering questions on Trulia/Zillow. Whatever your business model....don't get caught up in the success of this day to forget that tomorrow is coming. Do what you did to create today's success.....and Seize Tomorrow!!!

Carpe Manana!!!!

Isn't that a mix of Latin and Spanish?  I wonder what the phase would be in just 1 or either of those languages?  Maybe that is what it is in Latin?

It's wonderful to see the diversity in your recommendations to seize tomarrow. As you know, each agent has a preferred or most effective way to create new business.

Great reminder.  It's too easy to get busy with today and forget about the important items that need to be done for tomorrow.

Hi Karen,

My company has finally moved into our new office space and I think this is the perfect motivational message to hang at my desk.  Thank you!
