That's crazy, I don't know exactly what to think of that. I guess if your a Nascar fan its cool. But, I would think he could spend their advertising $$ in some other useful places IMO. I guess if thats what your constituents are into.. Then that's the place to be right?

Mike * I need to look him up to find out. I just got this news on my NASCAR RSS feed this AM....Interesting Wallace will be in a Chevrolet this year as he has been in Toyotas for the last couple of years.

Mike is an EXCELLENT "plate" driver and he and his daughter Chrissy made NASCAR history last year being the FIRST father/daughter team in a Truck race.

Meek serves the area next to where I live - I think my town is actually split between him and Debbie Wasserman (my Congresswoman). There's no question the exposure will be tremendous given that NASCAR is a huge advertising entity. I wonder if that will translate into votes though....it will be interesting to see.

NASCAR is an EXCELLENT venue and Daytona is the PREMIER track. Going with the Nationwide race is SMART * less driver/celebrity focus and more local fans in attendance.

No * I am not related to Mike Wallace *

US Democratic Senate candidate Kendrick Meek will be the lead sponsor (BIG$$$$) on Mike Wallace's car for the NASCAR Nationwide Series opener at Daytona on February 13th...Meek is the front-runner for the Democratic nomination for Mel Martinez's US Senate seat.

He and his family will be on pit road during the race. His campaign indicates Meek is a long-time NASCAR fan and as a Florida state senator he has sponsored legislation that benefits racing.

Again, I did not make this up.
