Below are images of the Pinehurst Resort after a winter storm dumped about 5 inches of snow. The last time the area experienced snowfall of this magnitude was about 10 years ago.

Everytime someone mentions Glogal Warming we get another freeze warning it seems. I think they would be better served by going back to touting the ice age like they did in the 60's to scare the people.

Wonderful pictures.  I am on the West Coast and the East Coast has made our news.  In some areas on the East Coast the snow really hit!!  We do not get much snow here in Salem, but the last couple of years we have had some days that shut things down.

Good thing you are not more to the north right now, but these pictures do look beautiful.

That snow looks very pure and undisturbed in most of your pictures!  Makes me want to fly out there so I can run through it and jump in it and make some snow angels!  Enjoy your winter delight!

Joyce - Thank you for commenting, we've noticed that too!... Just goes to show that God has a sense of humor... Especially when it comes to "the wisdom of man." :)

Mel - Thank you for commenting. We spent 10 years in Northern Utah and it does snow there. Here in NC, we get 2" of snow, that sticks, and life as we know it comes to a halt! But that happens so seldom, municipal snow removal resources are relatively non-existent.

Frank - Thank you for commenting, were about as far north as we care to go.

Renee - Thank you for commenting... Trust me when I say, the snow is a lot better in Utah. Not that I'm trying to discourage you from visiting the area. Fortunately the snow is gone and I don't miss it at all! We tend get cranky anytime our tennis and golf schedule is messed with.
