Do you own a TRUE Lake Arrowhead Lake Front?
According to the Arrowhead Lake Association, in actuality, there are very few TRUE "Lake Front" properties on Lake Arrowhead. In fact the Arrowhead Lake Association owns the shoreline. This common Lake Arrowhead Real Estate misconception is the cause of un-permitted work and destruction of vegetation on Association property and penalties for such actions can be considerable. To prevent any misunderstandings regarding Lake Front property some important items to remember are...
- The width of the Association's property varies up to 500' around the Lake.
- Anyone who purchases property described as "Lake Front" be advised, the property between their home and the lake's edge is not their property.
- As of 9/1/09 ALA requires the buyer or seller of shared property lines to provide ALA with a survey by a licensed surveyor before the ALA will convey a Pier Site Easement. (A document that gives a slip right owner the right to have the slip physically located on Lake Arrowhead).
- Improvements on ALA Property may be permitted with an application approved by the association.
