Spring is always a busy time in Murphy, NC  for Real Estate so here are some tips to help get your home ready for those "spring buyers" that will be out previewing your home!

Clean and shining inside
A good spring cleaning is the first step to getting your home ready for buyers. Put on your favorite music, get all your supplies together and let your feather duster fly. Get those windows, mirrors and all surfaces squeaky clean and shining. Let the sun shine in on your home to set it apart from the others.

Give that yard a good trim
Cut back any dead stems and branches in your lawn. Trim everything away from windows and walkways. Showcase the exterior of your home for that very first impression when buyers drive up.

Splash around some color
Winter is behind us now and everybody loves to see the first signs of spring bursting through. Yellow daffodils, tulips and other bulbs can supply that bright cheerful pop of color to welcome visitors. Didn’t have time to plant those bulbs last year – then get some potted ones and place a few right by your walkway and entrance.

Get a little softer and lighter
Accent your home with some lighter pastel colors.  Soft spring colors are easy to incorporate into every room with throw pillows, table cloths, curtains, picture frames, vases, towels and more. Look around, you’ve probably got lots to pull out and display.

Bring some nature inside too
Bring the spring surroundings inside with some fresh cut flowers.  Just remember if you cut them from your yard to check or wash the flowers first to avoid carrying ants inside.

Watch where you walk
Your hardwood floors should be refinished, if necessary. Give your ceramic tile and linoleum floors a good shine. Bleach dull or stained grout. Check and clean all area rugs; this is the perfect time for a new entry or kitchen rug too.

Leave them a little thank you
Next to the nice color flyer or guest book we’ve made for your home, we suggest having a pretty candy dish out  filled with individually wrapped chocolates or assorted candies -just a little thank you to the potential buyers that toured your home today.

Good suggestions, I know most people are ready for warmer weather and they want to see colors after the long and cold winter.  Colors just make people happy.

Thanks Rita. It really just gives a burst of life and sunshine into the home.

You're too funny Jane, but that's how we want our buyers to feel when they preview our home.
