I was pulling out of my driveway this morning and I looked up and lo and behold there was my home.  I love my home and I happen to think it is quite attractive.  Cottage style, Shutters, Charming white picket fence, lovely if I must say so myself (and I just have).  The problem is, to be perfectly honest it wasn't looking so lovely today.  Bare trees, sorry little flowerless beds, a little weary picket fence and arbor.

Oh well it's February, not the most attractive month in the North East.  Mostly a gray and dreary short month.  No flowers, no color and no holiday ribbons and lights.  We still have to show homes in February you can't say to the buyers, go home, come back in April and so what shall be do with these sad little homes.  Ok, let the stagers reply.  I am not a stager, just a broker.  Maybe a wreath, a new door mat.  Lot's of light and a fire (preferably in the fireplace).

I bet people have a lot of ideas, and no fair from my friends in the toasty south part of the country.  You guys get color and warm all year round.  Let's hear it from the frigid gray parts of the country.

For some reason it's sunny and fun here in Indy (even with a big snow storm headed our way). Maybe something is going on. That's it! We have a Super Bowl on Sunday

This is a really good topic for those of us in norther climes.  It is hard to make a home look appealing from the outside on a cloudy, dreary day.  Making sure that all sidewalks and the driveway are perfectly clear is important, but we can't suddently plant evergreen or holly bushes to bring a little winter color and height.  It is tough.
