Designed and developed by Sunrise Colony, a builder of some of America's finest Country Club Communities, the 24 hour guard-gated community has the recreational features of a luxury resort, but offers the privacy and serenity sought after by the most discriminating of home buyers.
Adjacent to the Red Rock National Park & Conservation area, Red Rock Country Club's natural beauty is one of its best highlights. The community sits at elevations from 3,000 feet above sea level and its rugged terrain includes 100 foot deep canyons as well as lakes, waterfalls, and streams.
This eighteen hole facility is desert style in design, however, it is unique in that its perimeter mounding promotes a stadium effect. This also aids in deterring wayward fairway shots from going astray. Course designer Arnold Palmer followed the idea of preserving some of the existing formations and natural drainage patterns, therefore limiting the amount of disruption to the natural surroundings. The greens are fairly small compared to most newer courses. They have mild undulation and are very fair. Golfers of all abilities will experience a pleasurable challenge on this course. Due to the private nature of this course, fees are not published. The club plans to open eighteen more holes, in nine hole stages. The target date for completion of the first nine holes is 2000. Private Course - The 18-hole "Mountain Course" at the Red Rock Country Club facility in Las Vegas, Nevada features 6,965 yards of Summerlin golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.3 and it has a slope rating of 130 on Bermuda grass.
