I always tell my sellers that we don't live like we sell. It always needs to be show-ready so it can be shown on a moment's notice! I couldn't agree with you more.
Sheree, You put that perfectly. I have seen some agents walk away from hard to show listings. It's like, why bother?
I absolutely agree - the easier to show it the faster it will sell!
Terri - Thanks, the one we've been trying to show for 2 weeks was just nuts! Now normally I can get the listing agent to help with these difficult ones, but with a limited service agency, I got no response at all. NEXT!
Stacie - Indeed! And many aren't willing to have that inconvenience, but I try to point out that if it shows great from the start, we can get it under contract faster and they can get out of the "on call" routine!
I dislike when this happens. It is such a disservice to the buyers who have high hopes in seeing a house that they took time out to research, only to have the seller play games, or act like they really don't want to sell. Its a tragedy...
Nice post!
I agree, This is an important understanding that needs to be highlighted with spotlights at the very start of the Realtor / seller relationship regarding the importance and comitment to showings. it only takes one buyer, was it the one they turned away? etc...
Great post Sheree, I totally agree; difficult homes may not be shown by me. Best wishes from Clifton Park, NY
This has got to be one of the most annoying things. If sellers think they are annoyed by last minute showings and no-shows, try being a buyer with money to spend who can't even get inside to take a look.
