Bing Crosby sang this Country Classic years ago.  I thought of this song when I saw this photo:

Oh, give me land, lots of land under starry skies above,
Don't fence me in.
Let me ride through the wide open country that I love,
Don't fence me in.
Let me be by myself in the evenin' breeze,
And listen to the murmur of the cottonwood trees,
Send me off forever but I ask you please,
Don't fence me in.

Just turn me loose, let me straddle my old saddle
Underneath the western skies.
On my Cayuse, let me wander over yonder
Till I see the mountains rise.

Ann, It was taken awhile back.  No snow visible in the photo, unlike here now!

Years ago? How about decades ago? LOL.

Cole Porter and an at-that-time uncredited Robert Fletcher wrote "Don't Fence Me In" in 1934. Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters recorded the version that most people are familiar with, and which topped the BillBoard charts for eight weeks in 1944-45.

Russel, I think that we took it about a year and a half ago.  Thanks for the info, I knew that Bing Crosby had the most famous version of the song.  I also knew The Andrews Sister recorded it as well.
