8 Comments on Photo Friday... Don't Fence Me In....
Oh, man! I can hear old Bing crooning, "Don't Fence Me In," now!
I remember my Dad singing this song! It was one of his favorite.
That photo certainly does bring that song to mind! I can also here Bing singing it. Thank you for the memories!
Mike, Thanks!
Maria, It was also one of my dad's favorites!
Andrea, You're welcome!
Tony and Darcy,
This looks better than my foto Friday...

Ann, It was taken awhile back. No snow visible in the photo, unlike here now!
Years ago? How about decades ago? LOL.
Cole Porter and an at-that-time uncredited Robert Fletcher wrote "Don't Fence Me In" in 1934. Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters recorded the version that most people are familiar with, and which topped the BillBoard charts for eight weeks in 1944-45.
Russel, I think that we took it about a year and a half ago. Thanks for the info, I knew that Bing Crosby had the most famous version of the song. I also knew The Andrews Sister recorded it as well.
