Join me to watch the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean.

I know it is earlier than most people prefer, but perhaps the pictures will entice you to get up early.

Let me share with you a few shots taken from our balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean near Jacksonville, Florida.

Despite the brillant color in the sunrise we did not have rain until the third day which was also the warmest day.

Kryste--Thanks for making the trip across country to see the sunrise with me today. How long have you been on the west coast?

Tony & Darcy--Glad you could stop to enjoy the sunrise this morning. It's my favorite time of day followed only by sunset. Beautiful.

Frank--I am glad that the glow made the trip across country just for you. Someday I hope to see a sunrise or sunset over the mountains.

Irene--Set your goal on winter vacation in Florida and you will get there. Even better set a date for when you are going then put in motion a plan to make it a reality.

Hi Carole--This is one of our favorite spots on the the Atlantic coast. My second vote goes to St. Simon's Island.

For the next few months it's the shores of Lake Erie. Soon I will take pics of the ice dunes as it will be a few months before the swimmers arrive.

You were catching the worms this morning lady. :) I get up every morning when my neighbors truck wakes my dogs when he cranks it for work, but I'm a night owl myself.

Your sunrise photos are just gorgeous. I have one taken from St. Simmons Island GA that I like a lot and a few years ago took a sunset over the pacific to go with it when I was visiting San Diego.
