Never Give Up

Refuse to Lose....Attitude

Like most great athletes, Realtors can be very competitive people. They don't like to lose. Their "No Lose Attitude" can sometimes make the difference between success and failure during tough markets and difficult times.

  • Ray Crock, at 51, tried for 2 years and talked to more than one hundred people trying to raise money to start McDonald's.
  • Walt Disney failed miserably in his first four attempts to live his dream.
  • Henry Ford went bankrupt seven times while trying to build the Ford Motor Company.

One of my favorite quotes:

"Press on: nothing in the world can take the place of perseverance. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."    Calvin Coolidge

Al & Peggy, Thank you!  Have a great weekend!  Did you say "work?"  Oh yeah, that's what we do!  :)

Good motivation, Don.  I understand that Col. Sanders was turned down several dozen times before he got the backing he needed for Kentucky Fried Chicken.  Know when to keep going!

Don,

i believe Levi Strauss went broke 2 or 3 times before "striking-it-rich" in San Francisco selling jeans to gold miners.

thank you for the words.. We all need to keep going..  Jill mentioned Col. Sanders... he started in KY.. but do you know where his first Kentucky Fried Chicken store was/is?  No looking on Google... 1952...   I have eaten there MANY times as I am originally from there..

I love your attitude Don.  I find myself acting that way in that I am incredibly persistent in fighting for my clients to overcome ridiculous or unreasonable conditions for their loans.

Steve, I'm wondering if I need to take bigger risks, so I can go broke a couple times...

Robert, don't even get me started... Relentless at being stupid, maybe!

Darren, If you eliminate Google, I have no clue...  I MUST KNOW!

Rick, that's awesome!  I'm sure that's what makes you a success!

Michael, thank you so much!

Ron & Alexandra, Thank you!  Keep on keepin' on! Be blessed!

Don,

I don't think so, but as the famous author and leadership expert John Maxwell says people should "fail forward".  I think entrepreneurs don't have as much of a problem with making a mistake as their controllers do. Perhaps that's a good thing. lol

If never learn to fail we never learn to what it takes to be successful. Who ever manages to stay up-right on a bike the very first time? Thanks for sharing these powerful words!

Gary, That's great!  It's funny, just yesterday, our pastor spoke about running the race & perseverance!  Wow!  We were on the same proverbial page!
