All the local news channels in the Baltimore area are eagerly awaiting to see if this major snow storm will top the record of 28.2 inches set in 2003.
WBAL TV, WJZ and ABC2 News are sending out their news reporters to convey the conditions across the area. They pretty much are all saying the same thing. "It's deep and wet, the roads are impassable and it's not going to stop for a while"
Catonsville, just 10 miles from the center of Baltimore City is eerily quiet. Frederick Road, which is the main road through the area has hardly any traffic at all. The snow plough's have gone through and actually blocked most of the small roads.
Thankfully the "Ships Cafe" is not deterred by the weather. (Actually the owner has a power outage at home, so it is far warmer here) The bobcat has cleared the sidewalks and they are open for business.
After an invigorating walk down the main street we stopped by for some refreshments and a pile of tasty steamed shrimp covered in Old Bay.
