Last night during family time, our 100 lb. husky (Duke), decided that he is a lap dog. Up onto the couch he jumped, right in the middle of Peter and I. The next thing we know our youngest son had grabbed one of our camera's and was taking pictures of the event. Now some parents would just tell him to put it down as it is quite spendy, we (though keeping the spendy part in mind), told him to be careful and take some pictures for his photo file. We have been teaching our boys about photography for the past year because they both love photography and we hope to help them develop that skill.
I though he took some pretty good pictures for a 12 year old boy. Here is a shot of our dog Duke. It is a little bit blurry, but I thought it was very creative.
He took this picture of Duke on top of Peter and I.
He is a happy dog. The boys really love Duke. He feels right at home now, as you can see. No fear in his life now! We are so happy to have him and to have the chance to give him a good life.
Mitchell went over to our fish tank next. He has been watching us photograph our reef tank and wanted to see if he could get a good picture of the tank's critters. He snapped this shot of the mushrooms and rass.
This is the rass from the above picture. It swam up to Mitchell when he was practicing.
We are glad that both of our boys enjoy photography. We hope that when they are old enough, we can give them jobs that they will be good at and enjoy while they go to school and decide what they want to do for a living. Some day I am sure they will look back at all of these photos and it will bring them joy and happy memories. I see potential in them and I look forward to seeing what they will produce over the years as they hone in their skills. Life as a parent is rewarding.
