That's right, another group for you to join, but only if you feel it will benefit you and your business! The next generation of Web Real Estate is using multi-media, and Web 2.0 technologies to market Real Estate. I have not found an MLS Virtual Tour Group yet, so I took the liberty to create one yesterday. Come by and check it out! It's brand new, it's exciting, and it's yours to post any Virtual Tour Listings that you may have!

This is a sample "Virtual Tour" from Real Estate Shows. I did this so you can see how to add a tour to this group. Links are ok, but the actual tours are what's preferred! If you need help adding your tour, please do not hesitate to contact one of the members below or myself! There are many "VT" companies out there, and they all have different HTML code or ways you can post on other sites or blogs. For this sample, I just cut and paste the code from RE Shows into the post! It's that easy!

For those who like to read books, we have the Active Rain MLS Online, and for those who like to watch movies, we now have the Active Rain Virtual Tour MLS Online.

Brad, I can hardly ever get into your posts as I mentioned once before though I try often.  Today it "let" me in and I love the "tour."  I will want one for a project I'm working on so I'll join the group and SO glad I could get on!!

Realivent - glad to do it!

Jo-Anne - Great!  Come back and post when you have the time. Thanks!!

Neal - you can post ANY virtual tour here, this was just a sample since I don't have any real listings,
remember, I'm the Escrow Guy!  LOL.  I have asked Jeff Turner to come and post some Real Estate Shows as samples to show off his product and services here too.  Hopefully he will when he's done with the tour!

Hi Robin - sit back and enjoy the "Shows", I know there are many consumers who do like the Virtual Tours as oppossed to the 3 or 4 photo listing presentations.  The more exposure, the merrier!  I have seen some really well put together presentations out there, I hope to get our members to start sharing them here.

Fran - glad you enjoyed it, the group will do well as long as members like you support it, and it PRODUCES RESULTS!!  :-) Thanks!

Armando - thanks, I'd love to see this benefit you as a member of AR and your sellers as your clients!  This is not only an edge to marketing, it's cutting edge technology that consumers have come to love and more importantly, expect.  B-)

7:43pm • #10

Marlene - it will be a great place for that, but even more, it will be the place buyers come to have their Virtual "walk-thru" of the properties that interest them.  Thanks for your comment, hope you'll join.  :-)

Carole - Thanks for the comment, I have removed many of the widgets and gizmos that were causing my page to take forever to load. You shouldn't have any more problems getting into my posts or blog.  Let me know if you ever have any difficulties getting into my space on Active Rain. I look forward to seeing your project. Thanks so much!

Hi Brad ~ 37 hours of continuing education classes in less than a week have made me a bit brain-dead.....I pasted my virtual tour link under the html tab but it didn't work.  Am I missing something?  Thanks!

Hi Lola - glad you agree with the "Virtual Tour" marketing effort here, hope you'll be back to help support and even write some offers or post some listings too!  Thanks!  :-)

Lizette - we're happy to have you here!  If you use RealEstateShows.com (Jeff Turner) it will only take you 5-10 minutes to put together a nice presentation.  I literallly threw the one above together just as a sample.  I'll be posting instructions when I can get a chance. Looking forward to your posts, and thanks for joining, and commenting!  :-)

Joddie - 37 HOURS!!!!  WOW, I know how you must feel!
If you posted a link, you don't need to use HTML tab.  Use the  icon above.  We are trying to get the actual "Virtual Tours" on the post instead of links.  This may be a little too advanced for some members, so I am going to post some instructions on how to do this very soon....been busy myself too!

Much of this depends on what company you use to create or provide your "VT".  Most companies will have instructions on how to use their product on a blog or on a website.  I used RealEstateShows.com to create the one above.  I think this is one of the best products out there for the price, easy to use, easy to cut and paste the HTML into Activerain, and only takes minutes to do! (not to mention, I like Jeff Turner, the CEO and also fellow Activerain member and great blogger!)  So if you need help, let me know, and I'll see that you get it!

1. What Virtual Tour Company are you using?
2. Do they provide the HTML code for posting to websites or blogs?
3. Were you in the HTML mode or the Wysiwig mode when trying to create?
4. Do you have my phone number to save time and get some help?  (Big Smile)

Let me know Joddie, I am here to help if you need it.

Hey that is a real good listing promotion, I think I will need to use this format.  My only concern is that with approx. 1,500 hits on a litsing with 2-3 going to the virtual tour is it really worth it?  I think the ROI should play a part.

Take care!

ATTENTION ALL GROUP MEMBERS!!

Please remember to ONLY post Listing with a VIRTUAL TOUR or a link to a VIRTUAL TOUR.  We are attempting to drive a large amount of traffic to this group from some outside Social Networks, and we don't want to disappoint our visitors and potential buyers who think they are coming to view some "Virtual Tours"  in this Group.  Thanks for your support and posts!

Should check out www.propertypreviews.com

Pretty similar to real estate shows but free.  I have most of my listings with a video from property previews.  Hope this helps.

Brad,  I use a company to create my virtual tours. They give me a link to use in my marketing materials and handle putting the tour into the MLS for me. How would I go about putting my tour to use in this new group?

This is what I get from the company: http://www.alookinsidetours.com/11573g.html

I am sure that the company would be happy to provide whatever I need to embed the tour, but I am not sure what to ask for. Thanks for your help!

8:25am • #41

Holly - most virtual tour companies like the one I used for this post and sample provide what's called an HTML embed code.  This is better to use than a link because I think viewers are more inclined to watch them if they don't have to click on another link, not to say you can't use links, I just think the embedded videos get more exposure and better viewing results.  Ask them if they can provide you with an embed code you can use for your Blog posts, that's all you would need from them.  Hope this makes sense and helps. :-)

I've had tours for a long time but have resisted video tours as less than 50% of the population has high speed Internet. Am now considering doing both, one for high speed and the regular tours for those still connected to a land line.

Elizabeth - there are some great VT tools here on AR.  You should contact some of the other AR members and vendors to get exactly what it is you're looking for.  I used Real Estate Shows (Jeff Turner) for this sample, there are others here too.  Just go to the members "media category" and see who is active here that might be able to offer you some options. If you run into a dead end, just let me know and I'll assist you with getting connected to someone.  :-)
