Way back on Sunday, August 9, 2009, Tennessee beat Buffalo in the Hall of Fame preseason football game to start the road to Super Bowl XLIV.

Excitement was in the air here in San Diego with many people predicting the San Diego Chargers representing the American Football Conference in the 2010 Super Bowl. Alas, perennial bridesmaids.

But that's no reason not to party!

Since I am the first to comment this morning I will start with a glimpse of the sunrise. May the best team win.

You gotta root for the team from the city stile recovering from Katrina....don't ya? Are they not America's team today?

Thanks for sharing your comments and pictures. Thousands of families are without power in our area and many more have the failed Comcast cable tv and internet service. Many will miss the game today.

This is the first time I've actually watched the Super Bowl since 2000, and with the size of the party that we already had, I thought I would sneak over to Trader Joe's to get some more drinks. I guess everyone else had the same idea. Trader Joe's never has enough checkout stands anyway, but today they were slammed.

Got home just in time to see the longest drive in Super Bowl History. That's alright. The Saints are best when they're behind a little bit.

Besides, now that my eyes are glued to the television, Drew will bring them back.

My chili is just about ready... Abi is bringing dessert.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they are going to get lots of complaints about The Who's lyrics in Pinball Wizard: "deaf, dumb, and blind kid."

I remember when Paul McCartney performed. They got many complaints about the "grass in Arizona."

Sounds like a lot of the crowd knows the lyrics to "Teenage Wasteland."

I wrote a blog a couple of weeks ago titled "Who Are You?" but I haven't posted it yet. This week might be the time.

I bet they get complaints about "see me, feel me, touch me" too.

I'm loving this half-time show. As much as I love Paul McCartney, I think this is my favorite ever.

"Wont' Get Fooled Again" is one of my Top 10 all time favorites.

Way to go Saints! Just goes to show you, sometimes when you think a particular team is going to win because of statistics, it can often be the team with more heart that pushes threw! A great win for the city of New Orleans!

Russel:Thanks for the invite but I am arriving for the post game celebration party very excited that the Saints won. I so felt that they had to win after all they had been through with Katrina. I agreed with eyes filled with emotion when Colston said. "We did this for the city of New Orleans," .

Owner, Tom Benson said when given the trophy that "New Orleans is back." When asked about his coach Sean Payton, Benson said, "I might kiss him." I am filled with such excitement and delight that Quarterback Drew Brees was named MVP.

Buddy is with me but alittle sad that all the food is gone:(

However I found the KFC window open to pick up a bucket for those who might still be hungry or for the later arrivers like us and a few pieces of the boneless chicken for Buddy.
