Looking at a photograph we could all see something different.  When I see this photograph the phrase that comes to mind is:  I just want to blend in.  This shed are outhouse blends well with the surrounding trees with the exception of bricks.

Okay so then my imagination got the better of me and I couldn't help thinking about all those people who try really hard to fit into peer group, a social group but there is always something sticking out just like those bricks.

My recommendation embrace your bricks.

Have a great Sunday.

Jennifer:  When a girl needs a little peace and quiet to do her thing, there is nothing quite like a quiet place in the woods.  I wonder if this little place has either cable or Dish Network ?

Jennifer, I agree.  Embrace what you have, or who you are.  Trying to fit in with some group may hide your best quality.

I guess it's a little too large to be an outhouse .... but I admit the first thought that crossed my mind was "Built like a brick ****house"......   :-)

Karen - Once in a while I would love a hide-away especially out in the woods miles way from the nearest  cable, a true disconnect from the world as we know it.

Lisa I couldn't agree more.

KarenYou did and now you can't take it back. :)

Pat That's my niche to pick up on what others miss :)

Cheryl  I have seen outhouses that big on historic sites around here.  This is on a historic site with wonderful history which I will be writing about.  I agree it is built like a brick it has been around a long time.

Hi there,

Well said, btw I haven't seen one of these for years. My grandmother in Arkansas had one at their cabin on the lake.

Jennifer that outhouse looks like a looooooong walk away.  Most guys would probably just stop at the nearest tree ......... LOL

Jennifer - t looks like somebody gave careful thought to this blending into the natural setting and not letting it be an eyesore.

Hi Jennifer... I love your perspective on this photo.  Most people would simply see a shed, it takes someone like you to see the analogy!  :)

Jennifer, I LOVE IT!!  Sometimes we just have to realize that we can't be put in a box because the box just doesn't FIT.

Wow Jennifer, that "home" would fetch at least $1/4 million here on Kauai and probably rent for $900/month.  Unfortunately it wouldn't cash-flow unless one harvested those majestic trees which I'd not want to do.
