KENT COUNTY DELAWARE DOG LICENSE
Delaware requires that all dogs age six (6) months or older must be licensed within the county in which they reside. Licenses must be purchased by March 1st, expire on December 31st and are valid statewide. Service dogs (i.e., seeing eye, lead or guide dogs) are exempt from the licensing fee, but are still required to be licensed.
DOG LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

All dogs 6 months of age or older as of January 1st in a given calendar year must be licensed within Kent County before March 1st. If the dog turns 6 months on or after March 1st, the pet owner must license the dog at that time for the current calendar year.
A current rabies vaccination certificate signed or stamped by a veterinarian, including vaccination and expiration dates, is required to get a license. One, two or three year licenses may be purchased, contingent on county and the expiration date of the rabies vaccination. Your pet's rabies vaccination should be valid at least through March 1st of the year in which the license expires.
