She most certainly is!  And she's also looking at something very intently!

Agreed!  Maybe she is watching the weather in the Mid-Atlantic region and waiting for Spring!

Sylvia:  Thank you and that would be her FOOD container!  "FEED ME!"

Yvette:  Thanks!  She was watching her food container intently--wanted to be sure that I dipped the scoop in for her evening meal!

BethAnn:  Yes, that's my Charlotte!  I have a dog who adores her too!  They're quite the pair!

How healthy and charming she looks.  And if I may ask, what is her food of choice?  Is she getting ready early for St. Patrick's Day with the lovely pale green ribbon collar? My kitties send her greetings, and report they lucked out with leftover roast duck for supper.

Debe,

I am all confused. I can get that the cat is intently watching whether the food is coming, that is the normal part. Then the name - Charlotte. Charlotte living in Charlotte. And the there is also a dog, and the dog adores a cat, This is so politically correct (LOL).

I read once that you can't bet on that adoration thing. The author was saying that there is no love between a dog and a cat, but this is the arrangement that they have to live by, because their master have set it this way. However, according to him, there were known cases, when the owners would take the pets for a vacation, and the minute the dog feels that this is a different space, and the rules do not apply, they may get ugly toward the cat.

But then, this was not about the American pets. They are PC (LOL)

Or maybe it is simply because the food they get is so good and there is enough of it for a dog to want a cat, and for a cat to want a mouse...

I never much cared for cats till Jodi came along. Now I see the subtle nuanses as a kitty talks with their eyes, body language and voice, BTW, we have 5 zebra finches, want some????

Esther:  My hubby was told his entire life that he was allergic and he has found out that he's not--and he just adores Charlotte!

Steve:  HA!  Holding the lid to her food container in one hand and the camera in the other--and about 12-takes to get it right!  LOL

Thom:  Ahh, I am so sorry--I KNOW you do; life without a pet is just so sad to me.  You should get yourself a kitty--very low maintenance but, they're entertaining and sweet (when they want to be)!

Jane:  Well, thank you!  Her name is Charlotte!

Elieen:  Thank you!  I, of course, think she's just beautiful!

Nancy:  Hmm...roast duck...I'll be right over--I don't mind leftovers either!  As for Charlotte's diet, she eats Iams Indoor Weight and Hairball Control and the occasional lick of the yogurt cup.  She doesn't eat anything else.  Your kitties are lucky ducks!  (pun intended!)

Jon:  HA!  You crack me up!  My pets being PC is SO very important to me--right!  I have to say that even our last dog who died at the age of 12 two years ago, just loved Charlotte too!  She's just got a dog's demeanor and loves everyone.  I have tried three times to download a photo onto the comments to show you but, my Firefox keeps crashing.   I posted that same photo on a speechless Sunday awhile back so, here's the link:  http://activerain.com/blogsview/1237508/speechless-sunday-best-buds

Have a great day...Gotta head out but, will be back to address everyone's comments!

Frank:  I wrote a long message back to you here and Firefox crashed!  Charlotte said that she would like ALL 5 of your beautiful finches!!  You can't say no to the 'Queen' can you?!

John:  Funny!  Our naming Charlotte inspired my brother-in-law to name his cat 'Queenie!'  So we have all of the Queen Charlotte bases covered in the Maxwell family!

Michael:  Glad you got that--and it's not such a bad song to have running around in your brain all day!

Susie:  Isn't she?!  I think I'm probably biased but, her personality makes her even more beautiful to me--she's very loving, unlike any cat I've ever had!  She sleeps ON my neck ALL night long--she purrs me to sleep!

Dorie:  She does look rather regal there, doesn't she?!  She's really just a 'plain' kitty but, with a great personality!

Tammy:  Good GRIEF!  5 in one household--two is enough for me!  I don't know how you keep up with that many!!

Paul:  REALLY!  That does look like she struck a pose, doesn't it?!

Sheldon:  You have GOT to be kidding me?!  What a riot!  They ARE related--okay, is that 'wrong?'  For us to be related AND our pets too?!  Your kitty is just beautiful--how old is she?
