During the month of January 14 more single family homes were sold, when compared to last year. However the average selling price was down by 13.7 percent. The median on the other hand was up 2.7 percent. There was a slight drop in the days on market as well as in the inventory. The purchase offer at the begining of the month was down 14 percent.

The single family attached sector saw a 20 percent increase in the average sale price and a 22.3 percent in the median sale price.
However the number of sales was exactly half of what it was in December.

Jennifer it looks like the lower price homes are doing better in 2010 than the higher price homes. That also seems to be some what of a trend around here.
