Active Rain Day 33,
Starting over is really a misnomer. I am not starting over, I am starting again, but I bring with me all the skills I have developed and mastered throughout my career to this new one. I think quite often when we are starting over again the believe is that we are starting from scratch and that is usually just not the case. In our careers, and even before our career when we are mowing lawns, or babysitting, waiting tables or in the mall we are developing ways in which we take care of business. We are building working rapport with people who depend on us for some task or job. I think we can always take from these successes and failures and build on them.
What do you think the average agent in the average agency does during the day? Do you do more or less? When you have a question about some process or procedure have you built up some rapport with other professionals so that you can call and get an answer? Do you really know how to work the MLS for your personal benefit. You can’t do any of this without putting in some time with the express result of getting these ducks in a row.
Over on my blog here I am discussing the process with the Sanford system. I am still working out what I post where. Do any other agents have more than one blog? I would love to hear from you. I realize that blogging does have an impact on my business, but my business is not blogging. I have to be careful of the time spent on this activity and make sure the time I spend on my daily activities produces the results I have listed in my goals for this week, this year and my career. Paying attention on a Monday will help you get to Friday with far more checks on your sheet than blanks. What can you do today to push yourself through that barrier that blocked you last week? Take an action right now and make it a great day.
