I have a question that I would love your input on.

As a Catholic who has seen my Church infiltrated by the Progressive Liberal Left, I have real concerns with the US Conference of Catholic Bishops sending out Parish Kits which inform and educate Priests and lay people on Immigration reform. In this kit they are calling on Catholics to work with the Democrat leaders in Congress to achieve Immigration reform.

Why would I question with boldness the Leaders of my Church in the United States. Well one just has to look at their track record to find the answer to that.

It has come to light that the USCCB (US Conference of Catholic Bishops)  just this weekend had a "Catholic Social Gathering" where prominent anti-Catholic progressives spoke about social justice issues.

Here are just a few of the highlights from Pewsitter.com

-Fr. Thomas Reese, who was forced to resign as editor of America Magazine by the Vatican for his refusal to stop publishing articles which question church orthodoxy on issues like contraception, human embryonic stem-cell research, same-sex marriage, homosexual priests, mandatory clerical celibacy, and whether Catholic politicians who support abortion rights should be given communion

-Diana Hayes, professor of systematic theology at Georgetown University and noted speaker for Call to Action, the "Catholic" dissident group. Hayes is a homosexuality activist who wrote a book espousing liberation theology, calls for women's ordination and promotes same-sex "marriage."

- Page sixof the official "Catholic Social Gathering" program gives a schedule for the Catholic Labor Network Gathering. USCCB exec John Carr is scheduled to join Paul Booth on a panel discussion. Paul Booth and his wife Heather Booth (another prominent pro-abortion activist with ties to the National Organization for Women, who helped organize a group called "JANE" in 1965 which helped young women obtain illegal abortions) founded the Midwest Academy a training institute for progressive activists.

-Paul Booth and his wife have served as host committee members for the National Organization for Women's Intrepid Awards Gala.

-Currently Paul Booth is executive assistant to the president of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. The AFSCME endorsed the pro-abortion March for Freedom of Choice, held in Washington, D.C. in 2004.

Michael Voris of RealCatholicTV.com has been doing some amazing investigative work, uncovering and bringing light to the darkness on the many anti-Catholic activities and persons that are now inside the USCCB.

So why do I have concerns about the influence that the USCCB has on the lay people of the Catholic Church on the issue of Immigration reform?

Because I agree that Immigration Reform must happen as most Americans do. I also believe this is one of the huge failures of the Bush administration. What I disagree with is the reasons why Immigration reform is so important to the Far Left Liberal Progressives.

Why is this such a huge issue to them.

According to reports from TPMDC, Congressional Hispanic Caucus members won't block health reform, provided the condition that President Obama assures them to push comprehensive immigration legislation this year.

"Democrats who want a comprehensive bill that reforms immigration law but also offers a pathway to citizenship have threatened to vote against health care if illegal immigrants aren't included in the new system, making immigration one of the sticking points as Democratic leaders negotiate the final details."

Basically they are buying votes for this horrible Healthcare bill by assuring the Hispanic Caucus they will have immigration reform and they can point to the USCCB's actions as proof they are following through with their promise.

The left wants to make sure that also included in Immigration reform is Same Sex Marriage -The Uniting American Families Act (UAFA) would allow U.S. citizens to sponsor their same-sex partners to immigrate legally to the country in the same way heterosexuals sponsor their spouses. The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and Immigration Equality are supporting the bill submitted by Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D.-N.Y.) and Sen. Patrick Leahy (D.-Vt.).

So in my opinion I believe the Catholic Church is being used as a vehical for Liberal Progressives to pass their agenda.

What infuriates me is that the US Conference of Catholic Bishops are allowing this to happen, and giving the left the cover to pass legislation that is harmful for America and completely contrary to Catholic teaching!!

I don't know, though I guess you are asking ... them.  My easy answer is that each one of our relatives came to this Country as Immigrants ...

I believe the Catholic Chuch has been and is being used as a vehicle for Right-Wing Conservatives to pass their agenda.  I think that's a shame.  God always seemed so much more than that petty crap.

After working with illegal’s (race horse circuit the ‘80’s) In 1997 I did my senior college paper titled; The infinite cost of Illegal Aliens on our welfare system - since 1986 their cost has not just been constantly escalating the cost has also proven too be infinite…Be glad you do not live here in Pennsylvania we have 424,000 of our own legal children in poverty. That is 15.4 percent of all the children in Pa. Our governor Fast Eddy Rendell’s little city of Philadelphia gave free child birth delivery to a minimum of 1,800 undocumented women in the twelve short months of 2008. At present the lowest estimate of illegal’s State-wide are 3.8 million. Over 60 percent of all these illegal aliens are all high school drop outs. The amount of children who will be eligible for (SCHIP) States Children Health Insurance Program is staggering. Not including undocumented in Pa. there are 1,211,000 legal Pennsylvanian citizens without health insurance. As a life long Catholic, I know for a fact many of us stopped paying our church dues which are used to advocate for illegal border jumpers. In Pa. over half our Catholic Churches and schools have closed for good, and the only ones thriving are the clans of illegal aliens packed into rental properties all throughout the State (which is also very broke & corrupt). Our government is helping illegal’s remain employed while Veterans are unemployed and homeless! If you are an American tax payer, thanks to Liberals needing votes, it is not politically correct to use tax payers’ money to the advantage of the actual tax payer. Our taxes are used to support this poor minority of high school drop out illegal swine! And the devil bedamned the life long law abiding homeowners living next door to the trash destroying our property value and neighborhoods. Here is one Catholic priest who is actually for us poorer hardworking legal citizens. It is a 10 minute video filmed in 2009 next door in Harlem, N.Y. Every word he says is so true. Alice:  I could not agree more with Jason Sardi as far as what he has to say.  I DO believe that the Catholic Church is being used... probably so much so that they have become a part of the Conservate Right Wing... to pass on their Conservative Agenda.

I know you question me... for choosing to follow my conscience and go against the conservative teachings of some of the church leaders... BUT... that is exactly what you yourself are doing.  You feel YOU are following YOUR conscience in going against the teachings of the more... shall I say "progressive" church leaders... current bishops, theologians and writers, and bishops, theologians and popes from the recent past.

Question:  Why is it ok for you to question the teachings of the church that YOU disagree with... and NOT ok for me to question the teachings of the church that I disagree with.

I would be very interested in your answer to this.  Think about it, and please, if you would be so kind... give an answer in YOUR own words... rather than publish another video by someone else.  Thank you...

One more question.  Why is someone who IS a Catholic, and who disagrees with you... why does that qualify them (probably me) "anti-Catholic ?"  Again, I would love to hear YOUR answer.

Karen Anne,

I want to give an answer that will take more time than I have right now. I will be back to answer you.

Hope you are staying warm. Is this weather craze or what??

By the way... Miss Alice, I hope you do not think for one minute that I ask you these questions... and ask for answers in your very own, personally thought-out words... to "trap" you in any way.  I am really much more interested in YOUR thoughts... than in the videos.

And yes... Mollie T and I are warm, dry, and... although the power went off for a few hours last night... all is again well.  Take care... stay warm and dry.
