From the least of these ... To Men of Faith in Haiti
The NEED: There are thousands of children, mainly boys, who roam the streets of Port au Prince. They have no family, no home, no way to survive but to beg. These two boys, ages 11 and 14, lived at this concrete corner of a gas station. They had no family, no clothes but those on their backs, no shoes, no food, no cup or plate. They had nothing.
The PARTNER: Jehu Metellus went to seminary at God's calling thinking he would pastor a church. Instead, God called him to minister to homeless children. Jehu had managed to rent a building and find furniture so that he can take care of 21 boys. His space will not allow for more. His care includes teaching music, daily devotion times, and Boy Scout activities.
The EARTHQUAKE: Their current home was completely destroyed. They are living in the driveway. A new facility outside Port au Prince is partially finished. We will quickly finish one floor so the boys can move. New beds, tables, utensils, etc. will also be needed.
