Hawaiian Ocean View Estates ! also known as HOVE, one of the largest - if not the largest subdivisions in the United States. Its just beautiful down there. Your perched on the slopes of Mauna Loa, with fantastic ocean views, nice breezes. The highway sits about 5 miles from the ocean, if you head up the mountain - the road goes about 6 miles up - all being HOVE, if you head towards the ocean - it probably goes about 3 miles down, this is known as HOVR( there is also a few other subdivisions below) if you take some of the 4-wheel drive roads - they will lead you to some of these secluded beaches - see below - I always ask people - what do you see in this picture that makes it different from all the other beaches in Hawaii - nobody ever guesses - maybe it would be a little more fair if asked - What is it you don't see in this picture that makes it different than any other beach in Hawaii - NO PEOPLE .
