About 3 months ago I was approached by one of our large regional banks asking me to join them as a mortgage branch manager.  They wanted me to be the branch manger for a portion of the island of Oahu.  I said "excuse me, you do realize that I am 65 years old, a cancer survivor,  and I talk really funny and will for a little while longer".  They said "yes we do and we still want you".

I thought they were kidding and just said no thanks.  Well come to find out, they were not kidding and came back to me about every three weeks asking me to accept the position.  After talking it over with my wife I have decided to join them.  I met with the President of the mortgage company this morning and he made the formal offer to me and effective tomorrow I will be a Vice President and Branch Manager for Central Pacific Home Loans.

I am really delighted to take on this new challenge and look forward to seeing what I can contribute to the success of the bank.

Good Luck, Good Lending, and Aloha

Bruce -- I am very excited for you.  Congratulations.  They are saying that 65 is the new 30 -- well, now all you have to do is to convince your body of that news!  Good luck.
