3 Comments on Great Home For First Time Homebuyer In Gig Harbor
Thats a great quality picture... where is the rest of the garage though? What is Gig Harbor like?
Douglas - I'd like to provide some pricing information on this if you're interested. I grew up in Kitsap, live in King, and own investment in Pierce so I have a true appreciation for Gig Harbor. It is actually my favorite marina (most beautiful with Mt. Ranier backdrop).
What may be helpful is also advertising this as a vacation home. A buyer can qualify as long as it is 50 miles away from their principle residence. 2nd home pricing and qualifying is similar to Owner Occupied, yet may still be rented out.
Anyhow, nice property. All the best!
Keith, to get a closer view of the front of the house I choose to cut off the garage door in the picture. Gig Harbor is a quaint town located on the Puget Sound just West of Tacoma and about 20 miles South of Seattle. Gig Harbor has a wonderful harbor with many boats and marinas. Historicaly, Gig Harbor was the hub for commercial fishing fleets that fished the Puget Sound all the way up to Alaska. We still have a commercial fishing fleet that calls Gig Harbor their home. Gig Harbor is separated from Tacoma by way of a suspension bridge. We call it the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. It is about a mile long. The first bridge built fell down after only 4 months of operation. It was rebuilt in the 50's and is still in use. Two days ago our second Narrows bridge opened after a five year construction period. We now have two bridges. One going West the other East. Gig Harbor is located on the Kitsap Peninsula and is surrounded by water. We have wonderful waterfront homes as well as starter homes such as you see here. The local school district is one of the best in the nation and many people come here to live because of the schools.
