Wordless Wednesday, It's Winter Now, But Spring's Coming!

 La Conner White

La Conner Yellow

La Conner Red Yellow Orange

La Conner Washington is about 90 minutes north of Sammamish, an easy drive most days.  For 2010 the Annual Tulip Festival   is April 1-April 30th.  The best time to see this event changes every year, these pictures were taken in March.  With our warmer than usual winter I imagine 2010 may be an early year too.

Dan, I'm really not a flower loving kind of guy, but I do like Tulips...that last picture was pretty cool.

I just had to bring some spring into all the winter everyone is dealing with right now.  Snow in the east, cold in the south, floods in California.  We go up to La Conner most years and while I'm not a gardener myself, I never grow tired of all the flowers.

Oh La Conner is one of my favorite places- I used to go 2 or 3 times a year - but I just realized I haven't been there in a few!  Thanks for your comment on my post Don!  I think you've been doing a great job - on posts - and comments!
