Courthouse Hill, built in 1996, is located in the heart of Arlington and convenient to both the Courthouse and Clarendon Metro stations. Nearby attractions include the Market Common Clarendon and Ray’s the Steaks, which has been dubbed “the poor man’s Morton’s” by Tom Sietsema, writer for the Washington Post.
Courthouse Hill is a secure-entry building, so don’t forget your keys. They allow pets, but it’s limited to one small pet per unit. Amenities include an exercise room, outdoor pool, and a fenced-in area to store your bike. And as an added bonus, you never have to worry about having enough quarters for your laundry—each unit has a washer/dryer hook-up.
Condo fees range from about $300 to $600 per month, depending on the size of the unit. Water and trash removal is included in the fee, but you’ll have to pay for gas and electric on your own.
Eight units changed hands in 2009, according to Arlington County tax records. Prices ranged from $350,000 for a 1-bedroom, 1-bath unit, to $505,000 for a 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit. The average price per square foot was $511.61. Currently, two condos at Courthouse Hill are listed in the local MLS. Both are 1-bedroom units, and are listed at $364,900 and $345,000.
