What a day!  Google doesn't know directions to parks.  It only gives directions by street name or house number, not park name.  As a result Rudy and Joe were taken on the scenic route to their destination at Cherokee Park in St. Paul.  The coals were hot for the weenie roast when they arrived and typical of Minnesota hospitality, Joe was put right to work.  Or maybe he was worried the weenies would get burned if someone didn't pay attention to their condition!

Of course, there were some future bloggers present as well, but we'll keep that quiet until they start blogging!

The next stop:  Denver, Colorado for a big bash!

Nice job Bonnie!  I suppose I can identify myself as the mystery woman.  I will put up some pictures I have and link back to you.  I have to admitt I am laughing pretty hard.  Thanks

What a great slideshow!  What great photos.

The lost thing... they were headed for our office in downtown Columbus office on Friday....the party was in Worthington, north side... maybe we never told them.

Thanks, T.

Maureen, we've become so dependent on technology, that when I offered directions they said they'd "Google It".  This one example alone is why I hope my grandkids are taught to read a map!

Thanks, TLW.

Carole, the weather started splendid but by the time Rudy and Joe finally arrived the humidity started to climb.  My hair was curling as rivulets of sweat made their way through my scalp.  Just enough breeze to keep the bugs away so they didn't get to experience the Minnesota State Bird.  We took a mini-tour of the historic area of St. Paul.  They truly appreciated Teresa's knowledge.  I found out some secrets about why she's so knowledgeable about the neighborhood that involve some old fashioned hard research, but it was fun to find out.  And there was a dinosaur roaming loose that I would never have seen otherwise!
