Okay, you've moved to Texas, and you want to do something that's traditional in your new state.  Let's go to a rodeo, that's it!  Well, we're right smack dab in the middle of Rodeo season here in Texas.

Longhorns at Fort Worth Stock Yards

The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo just ended, but there's always next year - plan now!

Rodeo Cowboys

The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo is going on right now.

Barrel Racer

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is coming up in March.

Kids at Rodeo

As is the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo.

So if you want to see what rodeo is like in Texas, spring is sure the time to do so!  There's also, in addition to the big ones, smaller events in counties all around the state (pretty sure just about every county has one).  It's a great way to spend a day!

Indianapolis may take a whole new look at this. The Indy Racing League just hired the head of PBR to run the series. Plenty of talk about it up here

Go San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo!

We had a pretty nice weekend but has been raining since Monday, may have slowed attendance. Some folks just like to walk the grounds, look at the livestock and exhibits and join in the fun at the carnival. It's no fun walking outside in the rain and cold.

Tricia,

Tony, rodeo in Indianapolis - that sounds fascinating!

Carl & Ceil, I'm sorry I'm missing the San Antonio one, looking forward to the Star of Texas Rodeo.  We go down to Houston every few years, and sometimes to San Antonio, but this year it's just too busy to hit them all!

Brigita, they are, aren't they? Can't decide if I prefer the big professional ones or the smaller more local ones.  But they're all fun!
