Bridgewater Nova Scotia, Recycling for many Reasons!!

By
Real Estate Agent with EXIT Realty Inter Lake, Bridgewater Nova Scotia, Canada

The world is pushing "GO GREEN"use less paper, recycle your waste, separate your garbage and
think about landfill sites.

In Lunenburg County, we have been recycling for years. We have the green carts, we use the blue bags and breakdown our cardboard and boxes. Recycling, we do it all, or at least we should.

Have you gotten your office on board yet?

In Bridgewater Nova Scotia, our local radio station & news paper have partnered with the Lunenburg Recycling Facility since 2005 to promote businesses that exemplify efforts in waste management.  Each month a local business gets picked for their above and beyond Recycling approach!

Some of what some people do to make changes is quite amazing!

What a fantastic way to get free advertising with local media! Your name gets mentioned several times throughout the day on the radio in conjunction with the government paid advertising dollars that are given to the local recycling facility!

Recognition also includes promotion in the local newspaper and the presentation of a framed certificate and door decal identifying the business as a leader in waste management.

EXIT Realty Inter Lake was "business of the month"
last year and the exposure was great and best of all it was

"FREE"

We all know that the paperwork for Real Estate contracts has gone through the roof. If we could all do our best to help in the recycling cause then we may also win Free Advertising as well!

EXIT Realty is promoting the fact that "TEAL IS THE NEW GREEN"

In fact, their will be a course offered to all agents who want to look at taking the steps to "GO GREEN" . The statistics below are compliments of EXIT Realty Corp...

******National surveys indicate that 9 out of 10 consumers consider energy and
environmental issues almost as important as interior finishes.*******

Once you make the move to a Greener more ECO-Friendly lifestyle you may find that it increases your knowledge of these important issues. You will probably gain better knowledge into a homes energy efficiency. If it peeks your interest then you will set yourself above the rest, you will make yourself stand out from the crowd. Homes are moving into this direction. Using recycled materials, cutting down on the amount of waste at the job site. In fact we have a home on the market right now that is completely

100% WOOD FREE in its construction!! Check out Bridgewaters NS 1st Enviro Home..

55 ACORN STREET BRIDGEWATER NOVA SCOTIA

This kind of house design is a huge first in Bridgewater Nova Scotia. There is nothing like it in this market, actually there is nothing like it yet in Nova Scotia. There are designs that have similar qualities but this design from this company was a first of its kind in Nova Scotia.

It's great to see that as Real Estate Agents we are seeing more then just paper and pens being recycled! Think about your office; how can you get your team on board?

It might actually make you stand out in your community while making a difference.

I haven't seen anything like 100% wood free homes in this area.  We're slowly catching up.  Lots of recycling etc, but a bit slower on our new construction.

Recycling needs to be taught by our parents so we can pass that onto each generation. I grew up knowing we should take care of our environment.

Hello David,

Yes 100% wood free. The home is made from Recycled metal, stucco exterior and the only wood would be in your conventional things like Kitchen, trim and flooring.. but the acutal main structure of the home is wood free.

Thank you for your comment.
