There are some tremendous causes being supported in the latest additions of Things To Do in Wake Forest NC:

Hands for Haiti
Friday, Feb. 12; 4 pm
Crossroads Entertainment, 413 S. Brooks St., Renaissance Plaza, Wake Forest
This family-friendly fundraiser for Haitian relief includes activities for all ages such as a CSI-like forensic science project that allows visitors to create individual hand casting and a silent auction. A documentary of Haiti relief efforts will be introduced by Hearts for Haiti and the American Red Cross will make a presentation. Original artwork using local artists hand castings will be featured in a live auction at 9 pm. Live music by the benevolent rock band Spot will play throughout the evening. "Sweet Jazz" Valentine's Weekend Coffee House

Wake Forest Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 107 E. South Ave., Wake Forest
Wake Forest Baptist Church will host a "Sweet Jazz" Valentine's Weekend Coffee House on Friday, Feb. 12. The event will feature acclaimed jazz pianist Bradley Sowash, a jazz instrumental combo and blue singer Brandi Hancock. Jazz instrumentalists are invited to join Bradley in an open jam session during the Coffee House. Bring your sweetheart and join in an evening of candlelight, live jazz music, and free coffee (provided by Wake Forest Coffee Company) and desserts. This event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted to benefit mission work in Uganda. 

"A Heart for Missions" Valentine's Benefit Concert
Sunday, Feb. 14; 3 pm
Wake Forest Baptist Church Sanctuary, 107 E. South Ave., Wake Forest
The Virginia Tull Music and Arts Series of Wake Forest Baptist Church presents "A Heart for Missions" Valentine's Benefit Concert featuring sacred jazz music and originals performed by Bradley Sowash, acclaimed pianist, composer, author, and educator. Bradley will be joined by the Wake Forest Baptist Church Choir and guest soloist Brandi Hancock. Part of the proceeds from the concert will benefit mission work in Uganda. Tickets are $10 per adult and $5 for persons 18 years old and younger. Tickets may be purchased at the church office. (919) 556-5141
