We Dodged the Bullet, here in Macomb Twp., Macomb Co. Michigan.

We did have snow:  it did start Tuesday: it did come down ALL day & night;
it did look bad for us in Macomb County; but it was only 7" in Macomb Twp, Macomb Co. MI.
it was cold; it was windy; we had Wednesday as Shoveling day;
we added Thursday as Remove the Blow-over day.
But---We truly dodged that Bullet, once again,

On this scale below,  the listing of totals for years past

'07-'08 / 75.5"   = RED Zone

'08- '09 / 65.6 " =ORANGE Zone

'10 - '11 / to date/ varies between 28" - 30" - BLUE-PURPLE Zone

     since our year snow season is slow so far;
     since P.Phil has stated we have 6 [now 5] more weeks of winter
     we could possibly end Winter with higher totals
     we may still go above the 30" mark, but I suspect that many of you have gone that high
     & higher.  YOU WIN!

Did you & yours get to do THIS

BEFORE having to do this ?

We are slated for more this weekend thru Monday; maybe it will be the same.
Either way:  Most of MICHIGAN
Dodged the February Snow Bullet for 2010--so far.

Barb and Sal, I hope you keep dodging the snow bullet. We don't have snow but for us it has been a YUCK winter.  It could spit on us and that is a big deal here.  It has been raining all day so hopefully will not freeze tonight.

Marchel...I'm with you! am truly tired of the snow after all these years. I thought Texas was experiencing snow in these last storms--you only got rain? Freezing is not good. Here we have a local weather man who states that "flurries are your fFriends"--he did not have too much influence this Tuesday past; but is loved by all the school kids. When I was teaching, I ,too, loved snow days.as long as we had them OFF. Did teach in one district [far from my then home] & the personnel lady did not believe in snow days, she was ex-army. Believe me when I say the Army's loss was also OUR loss. LOL. Happy Feb.14th to you.

Barb and Sal - its to bad they couldn't blow some of over towards Vancouver ... they need it bad enough that they hired a giant helicopter to haul it from the mountains down onto the lower levels where there was not enough snow.

Kathy...Have tried my best, but when people in the neighborhood started to look out their windows  my attempts at "blowing in the wind--toward Vancouver" had to stop; just a few moments  ago, on WJR radio, it was stated that rain, fog & snow are due for the area around the Olympic ski & snow board areas. Hope that was correct minus the fog & rain. I am waiting for the ceremonies tonight--then I'll be in a Zone. I like the Winter Olympics & am so happy to be able to see them from inside.Thanks for stopping to comment. Enjoy the Games.

Hi Barb & Sal, you always have such cute graphics!  No I haven't seen snow for many years, it's usuallly sunny & warm here on the CA coast; although we did get an over-abundance of rain this year! -- Regina Brown

Regina...Hi back to you. The graphics are from  www.animationfactory.com  I have the paid middle-Pro version [there are 3 versions] and they are fun aren't they? Hope your Valentines day was good, that is if you DO Valentine's day. We are so ready to move SE to FL as soon as our economy here picks up enough to realize some money on this Home. Sun, warmth, Blue skies, clouds, waves, & sea gulls Oh-oh that sounds so good.  Thanks for stopping by. Have a good week. [we went to FL last May & it rained there the entire time we were there--our friends informed us that "the week you were here was the only week that we got extra rain"] Not what I wanted to here. LOL
