Here is an updated Hockessin Real Estate Market Watch. Now that we are almost a month and a half into 2010, we are seeing some positive signs of growth in the general market. Inventory is lower and buyers are getting off the fence and making decisions. The Hockessin real estate market is experiencing some positive changes and properties are beginning to move faster, especially under the $500,000 mark. We see that now that the new year is underway and the tax benefits are available til the end of April, buyers are getting smart and getting off the fence. Currently in Hockessin 19707 there are 64 properties on the market and 21 Pending (under contract) listings. That seems pretty healthy and it feels like we're headed to a more balanced market before too much longer.


As of Feb 13, 2010 in the Hockessin real estate market the 19707 zip code area has 62 Active Listings ranging from $207,900 to $989,900. There are currently 23 Pending (under contract) properties that are mostly properties located in subdivisions. That is an encouraging number of pended properties and definitely shows signs of new activity in the marketplace. If you want to search the MLS you can peruse a little further into what's for sale.
