Who does There Own Open House

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty Central Delaware

Quick Question:  Are you agents doing your own open house for listings or are you letting the new agents do them?

Well One More:  Do your clients expect you to do them or do they care who does them?

OK another:  Is it a disservice to your client to have a new agent represent there house?

Please chime in and let me know...waiting for your response

I believed that the key is service, so it does not matter if it is you or a new agent the one who holds the open house. The point is that your maintaining the listing and advertising. Anyways, it would be nice if you introduce the agent who is assisting you to the owner previously or even the same day.

In addition to that, I do not know your market, but here in our area Broward County those days there are no public for open houses, so we hold "Brokers Open". That is nice because you bring professionals like you to the property that could freely give their impressions of the house, and you would be more comfortable passing them to the seller (Price reduction, decoration suggestions, animal odors, etc). Later, those agents will keep you in mind for their buyers because they've already preview yours, so they would rather show yours that is familiar to them already than others.

Good Luck!!!

I feel that I have the responsibility of doing my own open house. My clients hired me to represent them in all aspects. I am the one who knows the property best, not my counterparts. Now the open house itself is a whole different ball game. I am not a fan but my clients are so therefore we do what we are expected. You never know what might happen but better yet you don't want your client thinking what if....

I do my own open houses, I can best represent my home seller, also I use it as a good time to catch up on paperwork and other things if it is a slow open.
