"Great Oak High School", A California Distingushed School

Great Oak High School is the newest of three public high schools in Temecula. 

Built in 2004 and located on the southern side of Temecula, surrounded by Southwest Riverside County's beautiful mountains, it has been the place I have driven my boys to and from, for the last 6 years.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting with my son's counselor to talk about his schedule for next year.   My son wants to graduate early and has enough credits, so he will be qualified for early release from high school.  

I am so very proud of my son and also very grateful to his dedicated teachers who helped him along his way.  My son had a slight reading problem in elementary school and with the help of the resource teachers, tested out of their program in 5th grade.  Now his GPA is 3.5 and he is two years ahead in math.  Temecula Valley Unified School District, resource teachers were nothing short of angels with magical qualities, due to their dedication and patience.  

Great Oak High is a California Distinguished School and currently has slightly over 3200 students.  For a school this large to run as smoothly as it does the staff and teachers have to be very well organized and dedicated. 

Rated an 8 (highest rating is a 10)  by the Great Schools Website, Great Oak is known to have excellent extra curricular programs in music, sports and also has a wide range of ROP, work experience courses that can prepare students for the workforce.
