Did you know the average person has about 250 individuals in their sphere of influence?  Since people love doing business with people they know, networking is a great way to meet new clients.  One of my favorite networking groups is our local Riverside Chamber of Commerce.  There are so many networking opportunities starting with the Business in Action group that meets each Wednesday morning.  I have gotten to know several of the regulars and we have traded business from time to time.  It is always a good feeling when I can refer my clients to people I know like painters, interior designers, plumbers, and so on.  In addition to meeting other business professionals, Chamber meetings provide information about what is going on in our community.

In addition to the Chamber, local service organizations such as Lyons Club, or established networking groups like LeTip International or BNI are very helpful.  Whatever you choose, it provides a great advantage to get out there and meet as many other people as possible.

Hi Vera, I could not agree more with your statements concerning Networking. BNI is working for me but I do not limit my Networking to that exclusively, obviously since I am on Active Rain.

Rick,

True, Active Rain has been a good networking source for me too.  Thanks for your comment!
