Record snow fall in New Jersey - Like it or Lump it!

By
Real Estate Agent with Re/Max Connection

Born and raised in Maine I am no novice when it comes to snow!  But now that I have lived in New Jersey for 14 years I have come to know our typical mild winters and have enjoyed the lack of shoveling.

To date we have received over 71 inches - that's 4 times the typical amount we receive in a season!

So what do you do when you get hit with all of this snow?

You like it or lump it!

With 4 hours of plowing and shoveling behind me and my husband we decided to start enjoying the snow instead of dreading it!  Here is what we came up with:

Note: My son is 10 years old and is 4 feet tall!  Yeah that is one big snowman!

Huge snowman, New Jersey

The snowman is great! I can't remember the last time I had the chance to build one. I still can't believe all of the record snow fall happening all over the country.

We are actually supposed to get a couple of inches of the snowy stuff tonight here in Pinehurst, NC.  We don't leave the house when it is 'white' outside :-)

WAIL!!!!  You are so lucky to have it!  Up here in Maine, we have dead grass on the ground; no snow, none forecasted and the last 8 or so storms have completely stopped at our doorstep.  I wish you could send it up here!  To me, if it is going to be winter, it better snow - CONSTANTLY!

Oh I am just greeeeeeeeeeeen with jealousy, LOL!

PS Really cool snowman!

A friend of mine is driving from Bergen County to Florida today. I bet he's having fun. I warned him of the much worse than usual D.C. area traffic caused by our own snowmagadden (55 inches), more than the Washington area has seen since 1899.

No doubt, one of the best snowmen I ever saw. Is that a SUPER small scarf, or a mammoth man?

I am glad you are enjoying it - enjoy it for me, we have not seen any snow in Seattle this year.  I don't want as much as we had last year, or what you are getting this year, but just a little dusting of white would be fun.  Have a great day!  ...geri
