So you wanted a reason to retire in Honolulu?

Realtor.Mag reported today that Honolulu ranks #10 as the most desirable places to retire, in a recent study by AARP.  Thursday, March 4, at 9 PM EST, Tom Brokaw on CNBC will visit the following retirement "hotspots" - and, I guess, explain what all of us who live in Hawaii already know...why it is a great place to retire:

1. Loveland/Fort Collins, Colo.
2. Las Cruces, N.M
3. Rehoboth Beach, Del.
4. Portland, Ore.
5. Greenville, S.C.
6. Sarasota, Fla.
7. Ann Arbor, Mich.
8. Tucson, Ariz.
9. Montpelier, Vt.
10. Honolulu
11. Santa Fe, N.M
12. Atlanta
13. Charleston, S.C
14. Northampton, Mass.
15. San Diego, Calif.

Notice, no state is listed after Honolulu because, we all realize, there is only one Honolulu and only one Hawaii, the original paradise you've all dreamed about living in, even for part of the year.

Some reasons -

Weather
Walkability - if you put in Honolulu, it ranks 98 out of 100 = a Walker's Paradise - visit WalkScore
Clean air
Clean water
Aloha - of the people who live here
Aloha - the spirit of the Islands
Cultural Diversity
Choices - in housing, attractions, things to do, places to go - you name it
Weather

Request a free Relocation Package from my web site and learn about our communities and real estate.  While I am partial to Hawaii Kai - having lived and worked there for more than 20 years - I know you can find your place in our Hawaiian paradise, if even a condo you rent out and visit now and then.  Our prices are low, rates are low, and it is probably cold where you are as you read this.  It is 79 degrees here as I write. Call or email me to talk about Honolulu real estate.
