If you want a home to be inviting, color is the answer!

Once your home is on the market, prospective buyers will be going through the rooms quickly.

Often there is no natural light. You may need a warm, saturated color to give your spaces some depth and character.

Don't be afraid to use blue-it is the color of the sky and the ocean!

Don't be afraid to use brown-it is the color of chocolate!

Don't be afraid to use green- it is the color of trees!

Don't be afraid to use yellow- it is the color of sunshine!!

My biggest "bulk" purchases of late have been tons of accessories and pillows in color "storys". Red, blues, bright green, chocolate - even white. Great post for inspirations!

You're so right, especially with the whole countries bad winters, the days are dreary and dark, so buyers are having to run through homes to catch them in daylight. Colors do make a difference!

Cathy, I agree. I always love to use a pop of color against otherwise neutral furnishings. I use it in throw pillows, throws, artwork, decorative objects.

My favorites are:

- Red ( as you know and use)

- Green

- Green and orange

- Turquoise

- Turquoise and orange

- Light to medium blue

Cathy- it doesn't take much but I love how pops of color via pillows and other accessories warm a room and make it exciting. I love how the blue in the chairs take your eyes to the artwork and then table accessories.
