The sign hasn't been in the Kitchen for long, but this has been my motto for years.
Adopted it long ago and haven't had too many complaints...I raised some smart boys (and married a smart man).

That was my mom's policy, too. And I have to say that there were very few times that anything was left :)
The sign in my Mom's kitchen was "Where there's smoke, there's dinner". My brother bought my Mom's house when it became too much for her and the sign is still there. Evidently I super glued it to the side of the kitchen cabinet. My bad!

Sounds a lot like where I grew up with a house full of friends always there too - and we took it!
Believe me growing up in a family of 12 kids....definitely my mother's policy!
In our home, we have no picky eaters, Colleen. They aren't allowed. Our policy is, if you don't eat it, you must not be hungry. That includes the dog.
Colleen. Too funny. I need to get one of these. I am far to much of a push over when it comes to dinner.
Colleen, I wish I had that sign when my kids were little. I had one that only ate cereal, Peanut butter and jelly and salads.
