Valentine's Day open house

Holidays, open houses & real estate

My Valentine's Day public open house was very busy. I had 15 different couples through and I've received 1 offer on the home. I was not sure what today would bring because of the snow that is still on the NJ ground (from our 13 inch storm last Wednesday), and not that it is a big holiday for many people, but it is Valentine's Day. The crazy thing about open houses is you really just never know. I remember getting a new listing one year in July. The owner was getting things ready and the first open house would fall on the 4th of July. I debated doing the open house and I decided to try it. I ended up having many people through. I met a buyer who ended up buying one of my other listings, as well as meeting a couple who I kept in touch with through the years & later ended up selling their home. So, the bottom line is, you just never know with holidays, open houses & real estate!

Happy Valentine's Day to All!!
