Happy Valentine's Day-May Yours be Filled with Love

I awoke this morning with my Valentine. I kissed my sweetheart husband and we exchanged I love you's. I'd made him a card on the computer the night before. It's not a material gift exchange for us this year, although it has been in years past.

This year I am satisfied to be healthy, that my family is relatively healthy (my husband is diabetic), and we are all still here and together.

Financially...that's another story.

Love...that we have in abundance.

In Silicon Valley, the lifestyle is about what you have, the latest toys & trinkets, how fast is your car, do you own a home, if so, which neighborhood? Saratoga good. Cupertino good. San Jose - some parts good. And people easily can criticize.

God blessed me with a sweet gift today. At the Home Church in Campbell today I got to experience God's love and the gift of communion, togetherness and intimacy with me. The message was from James, about controlling the tongue, and using it to bless God's people who are made in His image, not curse them.

And to bridle the tongue, and rein it in when it wants to destroy.

So speak with love to those you love, and rein in your tongue against hurtful words.
