10 Reasons Why DocuSign Is The Most Powerful Tool In My Bag!

10. Speed:  It is the fastest way to get documents signed.

9.  Saves Me Time:  It is extremely fast to get a document set up for signing.  No more printing, scanning and emailing.  I don't have to work around my client's schedule to meet for signing.

8.  Saves Gas Money:  Because I don't have to drive all over town to meet clients for signatures, I drive less!!

7.  I Can Get More Sleep:  No more meeting my clients at midnight to get contracts signed!!

6.  I Can Get Signatures In More Than One Place At A Time:  If my clients work in two different places, or one is out of town... I can still get signatures at the same time -- and on the same document!!

5.  My Clients Don't Need Much Technology:  Before DocuSign, if my clients didn't have a scanner or a fax machine, or their printer was broken, it was a huge hassle.  No more printers, scanners, fax machines!!  Everything is done right on the computer so I don't have to worry about my clients having the technology to complete a signature without my assistance!

4.  No Messing Up:  No missing signatures, no missing initials, no initials/signatures in the wrong spot, no more white out.  This means, no more delays in getting executed contracts!

3.  No More Chasing Paper:  What a hassle it was in the past to manage multiple versions of the same contract.  Which one is the final contract?  Because of the elimination of all of the extra print versions and paper corrections, I'm not chasing anymore paper trails!

2.  DocuSign Is SO EASY:  This program couldn't be easier to use.  The electronic signatures are Internationally, Federally, and Locally accepted.  Title companies accept them.  Lenders accept them.

AND THE #1 REASON THAT DOCUSIGN IS THE MOST POWERFUL TOOL IN MY BAG.....

1.  All Of The Benefits Above For Me Are Shared With My Clients:  It is not all about me.  This technology allows me to provide my clients with better service.  My clients want to get things done fast.  My clients want to save time and gas money too.  My clients need more sleep!  They don't want to see me at midnight either!!  They want their houses purchased/sold efficiently with the least amount of inconveniences to them.  The added expense of offering this great service to my clients is invaluable offered by The Brian Worrell Team, Realtors in League City, Texas.

100% agreed. I began using it when it first came out... Took a while for some Realtors to jump on the wagon, but they finally are.

I signed up for a whole worth of year service, however; the banks will not allow e-signatures of any kind.  Agents will not even submit offers that have e-signatures from Docusign.  It's a shame as it is DRE approved.  I cannot take the chance, in our competative SoCAL market that one of my offers will be ignored due to a Docusign signatrue.

Yes, docusign is great ... some banks won't allow it though so it will be even better after we get past all of these foreclosures and short sales.

Kat, You haven't felt the same resistance that Jane and Cynthia have?

Jane, I'm sorry to hear that!  Realtors are required by the Code of Ethics to present all offers.  Perhaps they should be reported when not doing so.  If I was a seller and found out my Realtor wasn't telling me about offers, I think I'd lose my cool~  Good luck!

Cynthia,  Is it just CA that's resisting DocuSign?

Brian, Thanks for the great blog post! Do you mind if we reblog it? I love hearing about our customer's perspective! :) Please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help - we're always posting how-to's, product announcements, or tips and tricks on the DocuSign blog. We also have how-to ESIGN videos up on YouTube.

Kat - great to see you here on ActiveRain! :)

Jane, Cynthia - we're sorry to hear that. Ken Moyle, DocuSign's Chief Legal Officer, has written a blog post about FHA and Lender Acceptance of Electronic Signature. I've heard that it depends on the bank as well as the underwriter on the transaction. Some people have never had a problem.

However, I've heard from some DocuSign users that they use DocuSign to get the offer on the table first. They include a notation stating that if the offer is accepted, they will wet-sign at closing. This enables them to take advantage of the speed DocuSign offers in a way that means that other parties involved will be comfortable with the process.

Best,

An - DocuSign Social Media

An, Feel free to re-blog it.  I just set up my Branding for DocuSign.  I'm really loving it so far.  I do need help with one thing.  I'm trying to figure out how to get my Sellers Disclosure form to work on DocuSign.  It has many different check boxes and blanks to fill out.  Any suggestions?  If the boxes could just be "activated" so that the user could check them, that would be great.  They don't need to have the DS initial for them??

Hi Brian - I just wanted to close the loop re: activating the check boxes for your signers. After looking at a copy of the form that you sent to me direct from zipForms, try:

Creating radio buttons to guide your signer's choices. This ensures that they select an option from a group of options. Then, they can just initial at the bottom of the page.

If you're sending this same form to many of your clients, I suggest upgrading to DocuSign Professional Advanced, which has ESIGN template functionality. This will be an even greater timesaver!

Of course, you can create radio buttons any time you need your clients to select an option from a group of options, not just on the Sellers Disclosure. :)

Adding the template feature doesn't seem economical.  It seems that this little added feature that shouldn't cost much.  Every program out there I can think of has free templates.  And I know it doesn't cost DocuSign anything to add that.  I only need it for one document - my sellers disclosure - but it would cost way too much.
