How Is a Girl To Get Anything Done With Boys Like This Hanging Around?

By
Real Estate Agent with West + Main

Sunriver is paradise to many of us that live here and vacation here. You never know what the weather or the day will bring. Today, I had the daunting task of inventorying a home I have for sale that is being sold furnished. This is normal in Surniver, a lot of homes are sold fully furnished and ready for you to bring your tooth brush and clothes, just one of the things that sets Sunriver Real Estate apart from other areas in Central Oregon.

Today was TYPICAL day in Sunriver- just me and the old boys doing an inventory. The old boys did not help much, they just layed around and ate and slept, they were a complete distraction to me and getting the task at hand done.

Old boys are common in Sunriver, they hang out everywhere, but to see a group of old fellas like this is a real treat. I just had to share them with you. Enjoy, they did pose well for the camera,I am not sure how a girl is expected to get anything done with boys like this hanging around.

Sally; this is what I had to hang up to take photos of.... pretty cool uh?

Those were some very nice pictures.  A great place to do an inventory.

Beautiful pics, Thesa.  I found it very intriguing that a lot of homes in Sunriver are sold furnished. So does this mean you have to itemize each article and put it on the 'inclusions' section of the listing?

The only places around here that I have sold fully furnished have been summer cottages.

Thanks for a great post,

Jo

Thesa,

When I lived in NY we would go play golf up in Westchester. We would be on the green while Deer would be watching us play..they came pretty close to us before they would run away.

Great photos.  I grew up in the NY suburbs and remember the deer creaping through our garden in the early morning hours eating our tulips.  I miss them.

Randy - thanks it was a lot of fun to watch these guys - they are all pretty gray which makes me think they are the older boys from the heard.

Jo-Anne - For homes being sold with furnishings we write on the listing per inventory - then we go into the home and complete an inventory - the kitchen takes the longest time, we generally say things like, assorted flat ware, no counting forks.  Then we have to type the inventory - send it to the sellers for them to review - often times they want to keep something, they cross that off.  Then you edit the inventory list and have the sign it.  This list becomes part of the contract once you have a buyer.

Neal - we have deer often on our golf course - but when the elk come they tend to tear up the course... guess they do not like golf or maybe they really like it a lot and their 1200 lb frame tears the turf up.

Dan - These photos were taken right in the resort - Sunriver is 15 miles south of Bend, Oregon.

Missy - We do have them in our back yard often, but our back yards are not what most people think of as a back yard.  I live in La Pine where most of the lots are an acre or more with a lot of National Forest near by.  Gardening is not generally an option here we have about a 40 day growing season because it gets so cold at night.  It is not uncommon for the high to be 90 and the low to be 36 or so....

Tina - They do love to eat the flowers - there are a few they do not like but in general planing flowers is a waste of time here.

Alecia - thanks I am a lucky woman.

Thesa,

I have never seen deer that big here - I think our hunters get to them before they can grow that big.

I saw two guys just like those on my way home tonight, and wished that I had my camera with the longer lens with me.  You were close enough that you didn't need it, I bet.

I hate doing inventories.  Many of our properties are sold furnished too.   I recently had a Realtor from a nearby large city that shall remain nameless (not a member of our board), tell his client that everything in the house was included because the listing said "fully furnished".  Anyone who sells up here knows to get an inventory and not to promise a thing, but it caused all kinds of problems.  Our MLS has three categories we can pick from;  fully furnished, partially furnished and unfurnished.  I wish we had one that said "mostly furnished" as it is always a fight over stupid little things.

Thesa, I meant to ask, what program did you use for that slide show, if you don't mind sharing?  It really came out nicely.

Broker Bryant... can you believe this did not get featured <wink> these guys are actually not as big as they get... these guys are pretty old and the antlers get smaller as they age - they start small then once they peak start reverting.

Christina they were pretty... thanks for visiting

Rita - these are known as Mule Deer or mulies... that they are one of the larger species

Anthea - I call Sunriver Paradise... it is not nick named that though - thanks for visiting.

Sarah - you can do anything you want with my shows... I trust you completely.

Joanne - our listings have included and excluded - so under included we write....per inventory - it is signed by all parties and becomes part of the contract.  This program is... Real Estate Shows... visit Jeff Turner's profile and pick it up for $99 a year unlimited instead of $125 a year... just cause you are an AR member.  Make sure you send him an email and tell him I sent you.... he will crack up... I resisted for a long time... now I am hooked.  I could go on and on about RES (Real Estate Shows) but I will shut up for now.
