As I fully expected, today was amazing!  The topic was MINDSET!  Here are my TOP 10 ideas from today!

  1. You have to have a love affair with the business of selling... you have to be passionate about it every day.
  2. When we're not thinking of our dreams and goals... we're thinking about the wrong things.
  3. If we put the same energy into building our business every day that we put into creative avoidance behavior activities, we'll achieve our goals faster.
  4. To become mentally strong we must develop discipline.  Discipline is the ability to make & keep a promise to yourself.
  5. Each of us has to make the connection between our success and the fact that we are in charge of that success.
  6. Most of us are capable of getting only occasional glimpses of what we can become and what we can achieve.  If we were ever really aware of what we're capable of... we would be amazed.
  7. Accept blind faith as a method of controlling and improving our Mindset.
  8. More than ever... in todays market we have to be the eternal optimist... that's what prospects and customers are looking for.
  9. Remember that taking action defeats complacency, fear, worry, depression and anxiety.
  10. Our business does not depend on market conditions... it depends on us... and our ability to think and take action!

Have an AMAZING day!

Great list, I especially like the last one.  We are the only thing that determines our success.  You can not blame the market.

Oh my gosh, Sue, your post is perfect for me, especially #9.  I've been complacent, full of worry, anxious, and depressed because of INACTION.

I'm going to print this one out.

Julie:  Today is going to be amazing.  Although getting up at 5:30 to walk our dogs first was a bit of a challenge this morning.

Judi:  Great Idea, I'll definitely link them.

Randy:  Definitely can't blame the market.  Mike said... it's really easy.  Find someone who wants to buy & find someone who wants to sell - then just GET IN THE WAY!  I loved that.

Todd:  My challenge is complacency also.  I love my house, my car, my husband, my dogs & my life.  It makes it tough to go out in the WORLD sometimes.

Gita:  I'm glad you enjoyed them.

A great list and something to build on.  Especially in light of the way the market has changed over the last few months.

We all could use some serious personal intersearching to decide where we are and where we want to be.  I will be reviewing this list to re-focus myself on my personal life and my business.

Thanks for sharing.

I love the line that our business depends on us not the market conditions.  Especially in this market we need to be optimistic and take action.  Thank you for sharing these reminders.

Michael:  Thanks for checking out my post.  As I sit here today nearly 7 months later, the sentence that stands out the most for me is:  You have to have a love affair with the business of selling... you have to be passionate about it every day.

Sue:

I love Mike's approach, and I have been with him since the 80's. I have enjoyed watching him and his family keep this business of selling real estate interesting. The one thing that Mike is still not a great fan of is sitting an working on your computer, he really thinks that is a big waste of time.

Do you get this impression from him also?

Hi Lorraine & Loretta:  Mike is definitely not a fan of passive marketing or sitting at the computer... and guess what... we know he's right don't we?  Although I mostly do my blogging at night or during lunch etc.

I have been a MFO student in the one on one program for almost a year now.  If I hadn't gotten control of my mindset from day one I would not have been able to do the business that I have done thus far.

 thanks for the GREAT POST.
