Using a Call Checklist Leaves No Call Up To Chance
I am a huge checklist person. I have checklists for everything when it comes to real estate. Checklists for Buyer appointments, Listing Appointments, Closings, after closings, marketing, open houses, etc, etc. These checklists have been a huge help especially when I am really busy and multi-tasking like crazy so naturally I decided a Call Checklist would be a good thing to have as well. Buyer Call, Seller Call, Renter Call, Relocation Call, Investor Call.
These checklists have been invaluable for me when a call comes in. You see I am a 'answer thy phone' sort of person and because I am, I'm usually immersed in something else at the time of the call.
At first I was somewhat clumsy at using them as I found I was searching for the right one while on the call. But after a few crazy calls being handled that way I found my niche of getting the checklist and doing so gracefully. It was quite simple actually. Once I knew exactly what the caller was calling about I would ask them to hold for just a moment while I got myself comfortable so that I could give them my full attention. I would then go grab the right checklist. And without fail every caller has been appreciative of me doing just that.
Using a call checklist has also made me consistent with my questions. Of feeling more confident at asking those questions and of receiving the answers I need in order to be of better service. My attention is fully on them with a checklist in hand.
Calls with my checklist in hand are so much nicer now.. Everything I need about the caller is on one piece of paper including date of call, name, address, phone numbers, email, reason for call, etc. No longer am I grabbing whatever piece of paper is handy.
Yep, call craziness is a thing of the past and the best thing is
No longer is a call left up to chance
