Hi Jeff ~ What a cool idea for a fundraiser! And if the 2009 banners are any indication the auction should be a great opportunity to pick up a beautiful artwork.

I love to see great events like this raising money for worthy causes - way to go promoting it with your marketing power

Anything that puts one on the Highway 101 is worth the trip. That is the most scenic drive I've ever experienced.
Good Regional Localism post. Google has it for "arts alive project california".

Jeff, what a great event. Nashville has done something similar, execpt the artists were each given a guitar to paint and they were showcased outside of business throughout the city. Great fun for the artists and the consumers.
I wish that I didn't live so far away.
Jeff:
What a worthy cause. I love the 2009 banners, particularly the "Freewheels" bicyclists. All of them were imaginative and colorful.
Jeff, I have really enjoyed your local information post, and it is inspiring me to always take my camera to these type of events. This type of post brings in business because it shows your involvement in the community, plus you get to show your support for worth causes.

Jeff - Congratulations on a great post! This event sounds like fun!
Thanks, Lenn. The 101 is an interesting slice of life, with soemthing for everyone. The arts are growing here adn there are new events adnvenues all the time. I am getting connected with more foloks involved in that arena - something I am passionate about.
The google thing is OK too!
Jeff
Connie - now THAT is a cool idea, too. We had a similar event in Carlsbad where participating artists painted the utility boxes, and other similar things along the Carlsbad Village streets.
Joe - so true. And you never know who else might sees it. But part of it is that it is simply an enjoyable thing for me.
Jeff
Hi Jeff -- You have the coolest and worthwhile events locally there. I love reading about them.
I probably will not be there. I'll be at the yoga studio (next to the Hwy 101 place) trying to maintain calm in the wacky world of short sales.
Very nice localism post. Looks like lots of fun!
Erica
Jeff what an original way to raise money for local groups. I am sure that it will be successful.
Jeff - Another great localism post. And looks like a worthy cause... Nice Job!
Hi Jeff, I think we are cut from the same cloth because I am also an avid fan of local arts and enjoy raising money and volunteering for charity groups here in Austin! And Localism posts are just about my favorite!
Teresa - well you CAN come visit. The weather is wonderful right now. :)
Claudette - and it was really fun to actually see them hanging along the mainstreet in town.
Nevin - it should be neat to see them all adn meet some of the artists.
Thanks, Chris - I truly appreciate your kind words.
Jeff
Great way in keeping the community united.
