I have been blogging now for only a few months (I certainly don't claim to be good at) but since then I have seen my website rank higher, I have gained knowledge from other agents on their experiences - and I've had a ton of fun blogging! So when I heard Raincamp was coming to Dallas I booked my ticket without hesitation.
I always think of myself as a bit techy (please keep in mind - I said just a bit) - but I was blown away with the knowledge that was provided to us at Raincamp. Things I would have never in a million years thought to do - I mean the fan pages, the videos for Facebook, Twitter, etc! On the list of about 100 pages of notes that I collected today, I received lists of the best websites for my business - this I know will be an invaluable tool for me. Ben Kinney gaves us percentages (I love numbers!!) that we can relay to our seller's and buyer's when telling them how important markting their property online is and he also confirmed a few things that I knew I should be doing, but in all honesty have not (can anyone say calling our sphere?).
In one day I learned more about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) than I have learned in all my years of real estate (that's 9 in case you were wondering). Everything up until now has been self taught as I struggle along trying to put the pieces together for my online marketing. I feel like I have a definite plan now and my confidence in my internet marketing is soaring!!!!
This stuff is not just for beginner agents - no way! This is for the mega agent, the new agent, the old agent and everyone in between! There is a huge shift happening (haha - got that from Ben) and if you don't want to be left behind -- you had better get on the Active Rain bus. You and your clients will thank you!
Thanks so much Active Rain! Bob, Brad, Ben - yesterday was an amazing day for me and my career!!
As always - if Lake Texoma is your destination, please contact me for all things Lake Texoma!
